Fall 2018 Automotive Photography Course

Have you ever been browsing Facebook, looking through photos, wondering to yourself "How did they get that shot?", "I wonder what the settings were for that one?", "How did they get it to look so moody?"or "I wish I could do that!"

Me too!

I have spent the last 10 years learning everything I could about photography. I have done just about every type of photography you could think of from automotive, wedding, landscape, astrophotography, real estate, night, long exposure, composite, etc.. Along the way I have picked up things from other photographers that I have looked up to and learned a few things on my own through trial and error.

Now I am ready to share my knowledge with you!

I have been thinking about teaching a photography course for quite some time. A lot of the time when I am photographing someone's car I will wind up teaching the owner some tricks or talk about the reasons why I do things the way I do. So I have decided it is time to try teaching an actual course.

This will be my first time teaching so please bear with me as it will be a learning experience for me as well. The course will likely run around 2 hours in the field. I will go over composition, exposure settings (manual mode), different ways to position the car to get the best lighting and most interesting background.  I am also looking into doing an online editing tutorial with some of the images we capture during the session (more into on that to come in a day or two).

You will need to bring:

■ A digital Camera with manual mode
■ The owners manual for said camera (If you don't have the paper copy you can usually find a digital version on the camera manufactures website)
■ A tripod
■ A few different size lenses ( If you only have one that is fine too!)
■ Potentially some rain gear and something to protect your camera (We are in the PNW)

Course Cost:
$120

When / Where?
T.B.D. Once I have a group signed up I will contact everybody and figure out what time and place works best for the group.

If you are interested in learning some of my techniques and tricks please follow this link to make your payment and sign up for the class: Chris Daley Photography Fall Automotive Photography Course

Note:
To get the full value out of this course I highly suggest that you have or get a copy of Adobe Lightroom. After the shoot we will arrange a time to go over the files and do some edits and I will be using Lightroom and possibly Photoshop. If you don't have them or don't want to get them yet you can still watch. I would suggest getting the Photography package for Individuals. It is $9.99 a month and comes with both Lightroom and Photoshop. They can be purchased by following this link to Adobe's website: Adobe Creative Cloud Photography Plan

Photography Course Form

If you would like to sign up for a course but this one is already full please fill out this form to let me know you are interested and once I have enough people I can start another group. Also if you have a request for a course please let me know! Like I said above. I have experience in just about every form of photography and can help you learn something new!
